Antique Victorian cast-iron double-urn match safe, patented January 15, 1867. Heavy wall-mounted piece with two highly detailed side-by-side urn compartments, scrolling and leaf details, and a central striking bar at the base.

Originally designed for the fireplace or hearth. Today it works beautifully as a wall pocket for small air plants, dried herbs, matches, or studio supplies. Strong primitive Americana / gothic / rustic farmhouse character.
